2024 Volkswagen ID.7 Overview
The Volkswagen ID.7 is a much-anticipated vehicle that will be the first-ever all-electric VW sedan. The announcement of the ID.7 has generated a great deal of excitement among our customers at Ancira Volkswagen of San Antonio, and this early Volkswagen ID.7 review is an opportunity to share what we know so far. The ID.7 is still in preproduction as of this writing. It is not available to reserve just yet, but it will arrive in 2024 and likely for the 2025 model year, which suggests a mid- to late-year release. There will be two trims initially, and those will be the ID.7 Pro and ID.7 Pro S.

There are already many photographs of the ID.7 available online. The ID.7 has a sleek and modern appearance but eschews the ultra-futuristic styling that has been so common in this space lately. The wheelbase is 117 inches, which means that this new vehicle is larger than the Passat and at the upper end of the range for midsize sedans in general.
Interior – 2024 Volkswagen ID.7 in San Antonio TX
There has been no word yet on the interior specifications for the VW ID.7, but based on the wheelbase and length, we expect that there will be at least 40 inches of rear legroom and thus ample space for adults. Our team also expects trunk space at around 16 cubic feet in addition to a frunk. The dash is centered by a 15-inch touch screen with mostly touch controls, and there are physical controls on the steering wheel.
Volkswagen ID.7 Mechanical specs
All ID.7 models will support Level 1, Level 2 and Level 3 charging. There are no charging estimates available for our Volkswagen ID.7 review yet, but based on the Id.4, we expect charging from 0% to 100% on Level 2 to take 7.5 hours. On Level 3, you should expect about 90 miles of range in 10 minutes.

This is the area where the team at Ancira Volkswagen of San Antonio knows the most thus far. All models will have a single electric motor that makes 282 horsepower and 402 pound-feet of torque. Front wheel is the only drive layout available. Pro models will have the standard battery pack and a range of about 380 miles. Pro S models with have the bigger battery pack and a range of about 435 miles.

Most of the advanced driver assists will be include as standard equipment. The features that have been confirmed include automatic high-beam headlamps, a rearview camera system, adaptive cruise control, forward collision warning with automatic braking and lane departure warning with steering assist. We also expect high-end features like hands-free driving, automated parking, a digital rearview mirror and a head-up display.
